SIREN AS KNOB FOR WALKING STICK

This very popular walking stick served a very useful purpose. It was considered ill mannered to put fingers in your mouth and whistle, therefore the siren was used to express pleasure or discontent. Used at political rallies, theater events, parades etc. The siren is mounted through a black wood ball and sits on an ebonized shaft. The stick is 37 inches long. There is a brass ferrule. Condition is excellent. Additional photos on request. Inquiries invited.
